London Men’s Spring/Summer Hair Trends 2017
From severe buzz cuts to untamed beachy curls, the LCM shows were awash with runway-worthy hairstyles. Some totally wearable… and some less so. We’ve rounded up our edit of the most notable hair trends, look no further for next season’s must-have manes…
Making quite the statement, House of Holland sent their models down the runway in styles, reminiscent of 80’s rave culture; think super-slick, grease heavy locks combed over the face into a modish fringe- super low maintenance and easily achievable with a heavy duty gel grooming cream.
The military-inspired buzz cut also featured heavily on Holland’s catwalk this season…be brave with a two-all-over as this ultra-cropped look is not only entirely of-the-moment, but also totally fuss free.
It wasn’t all clippers and hair gel however, London based brand Sibling’s guys sported a roman style mop of romantic glossy curls. Whether it be the more paired back short back and sides topped with curly tresses, or a full-on long-all- over look, it was all about high shine, defined curls. Get the look with a speedy blow dry, finishing with a curl nurturing product range.
Keeping it a little more traditional, Belstaff’s rough-and- ready, ever-so- slightly retro quiffs looked as though they belonged to a rebel motorcyclist who’d just whipped off his helmet. An undone classic, this look is totally transferable from runway to real-life, this voluminous un-dressed style requires nothing but some old-school hair wax and a little hot air if you’re going all-out.
These are just some of our highlights from the recent men’s shows and we anticipate they will be street-style favourites come spring, so be sure to get in there early!
